How much does a website cost?

This is the number one question asked by prospective clients, and also probably the hardest to answer! At 83, we know that every client is different and has their own individual needs. We create a bespoke brief for each client, and negotiate a price on this brief.  Any extra that we envisage will be needed is included on this brief, and an encompassing price will be agreed before we start work.

How long does it take for a website to be designed?

The time frame of website design will be determined by both the size and complexity of your site and its design. As with the cost of your website, 83 will work with you to put together a time frame for the site before we start work.

What are the maintenance costs on a website?

Unlike other companies that levy a charge on a monthly basis, there are no maintenance charges with 83. The only monthly charge that you will incur is the cost of web hosting, should you choose to host with 83. Prices are set out in your original design brief, and stay the same for every year that you use 83.

What is web hosting?

Web hosting is your presence on the internet. As your web hoster, 83 provides you with space on our servers, where your unique domain name is located and your site is hosted, allowing 24/7 access to your site.

I am currently using another hosting company; can I continue to use this company if I work with 83?

In most cases, you can use your existing hosting company (dependent on the features it provides).

How do I switch from my current hosting company to 83?

83 will take care of all necessary arrangements.

I am currently in dispute with my current web design company and am afraid of losing my domain; can 83 help?

If you own a domain name, no one can take it from you or hold on to it, even if you owe them money. 83 cannot enter into disputes with web design suppliers, but we can help you to get your domain name back.

Do 83 offer e-commerce packages?

Yes. 83 offer a full e-commerce package which allows clients to sell goods online and receive payment. Payment systems that can be installed include Paypal, Worldpay, Streamline and NoChex.

Do 83 offer search engine optimisation?

Yes.

Yes. In our free initial consultation, 83 aim to understand your company and your project. In addition to this, we offer more in-depth consultations to companies that need help in formulating their online strategy.
